皮肤科于1956年由著名中医皮外科专家赵炳南先生创建，是国家临床重点专科、国家中医药管理局首批重点专科和重点学科、北京市中医特色诊疗中心和中西医结合重点学科，是硕士、博士研究生学位培养点。现有医师30名，其中国家级名老中医2人，北京市名老中医1人，正、副主任医师18名，硕士学位以上人员21名。目前开放病床33张，年门诊量达到26万人次，拥有独特中医传统制剂60余种，运用中医特色疗法20余种。医疗上坚持继承与创新相结合，以突出中医特色、提高医疗质量及临床疗效为核心。在银屑病、湿疹、带状疱疹、痤疮、红皮病、红斑狼疮、大疱病、荨麻疹、白癜风等皮肤病的治疗方面有中医特色和优势。

DermatologydepartmentisfoundedbythefamousTraditionalChineseMedicine(TCM)DoctorZhaoBingnanin1956,andisoneofthefirstawardedNationalTCMkeyresearchcentersofdermatologypriordisciplines,BeijingTCMDiagnosisandTreatmentCenter,andBeijingkeyIntegratedMedicinediscipline.CapitalMedicalUniversity’spostgraduatesofM.D.andM.M.inTCMdermatologywereawardedhere.Nowthereare30doctorsinthedepartment,including2State-levelTCMveterans,oneBeijingTCMveteran,and18ofthemarechiefphysicians,21ofwhomownedM.M.orM.D.Theoutpatientamounthadsurpassed260,000in2012,andtheinpatientbedsare33.Six-eightuniqueTCMpreparationsand3therapieswereinventedandapplyinghere.ThisdepartmenttakespriorityofTCMasthetherapeuticprinciple,insistsonintegratinginheritanceandinnovationinmedicalpractice,protrudingTCMcharacteristics,enhancingclinicaleffect,andemphasizingdiseaseprevention.TherehaveTCMfeaturesandadvantagesintreatingpsoriasis,eczema,herpes,acne,erythroderma,bullousdisease,lupuserythematosus,urticariaandvitiligo.
